Our Board’s Role in Our Work in the Continuum of Care
At Threshold CoC, our board members are a driving force behind our mission, guiding strategic decisions that strengthen our community’s response to homelessness. Their collective expertise spans a wide array of sectors, including local government, funding organizations, activist groups, service providers, and leadership roles within the community. A vital part of our board’s strength comes from the voices of those with lived experience. Representatives from our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) bring invaluable firsthand insights into homelessness, helping shape funding applications, community planning, and CoC initiatives. These young advocates are essential to our work, offering perspectives that profoundly influence our strategies and efforts so they are not only effective but also rooted in empathy and understanding.
The diversity on our board and their range of perspectives and skills ensure that we tackle the complex issue of homelessness collaboratively. We are better able to approach challenges from multiple angles, making our strategies both comprehensive and adaptive to the ever-evolving needs of our community. Each member plays a crucial role in targeting policies, securing resources, and providing oversight that keeps our work moving forward to create impact. Together, the board ensures that Threshold CoC remains a nimble and responsive organization, ready to adapt to the shifting landscape of homelessness and housing insecurity.
Through their dedication, our board members make a lasting impact on our community. Their leadership fosters meaningful change, helping us create stronger, more effective solutions in the fight against homelessness by securing resources, influencing policies, and maintaining the integrity of our programs. We are deeply grateful for our board’s service and commitment to making a difference every day.
We want to extend a special ‘thank you’ to our outgoing Board Members who have completed their service. These individuals have dedicated many hours of service and commitment to our organization and our Continuum of Care at large:
